Sunset on the beach

We were on the beach yesterday in Hilton Head and my dancing children wanted me to take pictures (as always) of them doing some dance tricks.  Pretty happy with these pictures!  (Wish I could get a sunset OVER the water but I live on the right coast)

Caroline & Nick

My daughter loves to have me take pictures.  I think because she knows it's free.  She & her boyfriend Nick have been asking me for a couple weeks to take them out for a photo shoot.  Here are a few of the pictures we took.  These are my favorites.

Visit to Charleston

My youngest daughter wanted to visit Charleston so I took advantage of the opportunity to shoot some pictures of Charleston while I was there.  Thankfully I was staying with friends who knew how to get around town! :)

The first thing we did when we arrived was head downtown to Waterfront Park.  I had read about taking pictures at twilight and I knew that the Ravenel Bridge would be a perfect picture.  There is no filter, no presets on this first picture.  Just an 8 second shutter speed and a beautiful bridge.

This is the Pineapple fountain at Waterfront Park.  I wasn't going to take any pictures because there were children crawling in it but I managed to get the top of it without any visible children.  It was a hot night.  I really don't blame them.

This is Emanual AME, known as Mother Emanuel to those in Charleston.  This is the site of the horrific shooting in June 2015 and we were there just a couple weeks after it happened.  It has been a part of Charleston for almost 200 years and I was humbled by our visit.
